Counting the days on two hands

One week to go and I think things are pretty well set with the wedding. Deborah is off in New Orleans for her bachelorette party, with my groomsmen and I having attended mine last weekend in Louisville, KY. Thanks to my Uncle Kevin Addington for setting us up at Maker’s Mark, Missy’s Out of the Way Café and Churchill Downs:

I am headed up to NYC on Tuesday evening after I send out my job packets, and Deborah and I will be spending the rest of the week making sure all the last minute details are ironed out. I also posted an updated schedule on the website so that’s handy for everyone. Safe travels and we can’t wait to see you all next weekend.

Four weeks

Deb and I went out this morning and picked up our wedding bands and picked up our marriage license earlier this week. We’re winding down our preparations right now and things are shaping up well. Not to mention that Deborah returned from China eights days ago and already has a job at WORK ac in NYC.

See you all soon!

Deborah’s mother Julie just sent out our invitations yesterday (thanks!), so looking forward to more traffic. Thanks for stopping by – details about the wedding schedule and accommodations, etc. are available here, along with last minute updates as they come in. To be more helpful, the specific things you are probably looking for…bullets? Bullets.

If you have any questions, let us know. We’re looking forward to seeing you all.

Six months to go…

At the beginning of the week, Deborah’s mother and I sent out our Save the Date cards out, and realizing that the last post here was from six months ago, I figured it’s time for an update. I finished my dissertation proposal defense a few weeks ago, and after taking two months off from everything else for that, I am back trying to get on schedule. Deborah is still in China, Deborah’s mother and I are still doing most of the planning, and things are coming along – we are just about where we need to be according to my spreadsheet. Deborah will have some time off for the Chinese New Year, and will be back visiting from China for a few weeks at the end of January. We hope to get some wedding stuff done then, meeting with the rabbi who will be officiating our wedding, Ari Fridkis, and Deborah having a fitting for her dress. We’ll also be getting some time to do other things, like visiting her parents in Florida and seeing some friends in DC, too, hopefully.

I am headed to Austin, TX tomorrow to spend Christmas with my parents and sister, and will also get to see my good friend and best man, Mike Cholette. Happy holidays everyone, from Deborah and I both.
